Ready, Set, Not yet...

 Dearest Reader,

Today was all about planning. I need to solidify my plans. I also need two actors for my music video. 

I started by working with my friends Kyra and Marvin. They both agreed to take a role in the music video. Kyra will be my best friend who is sitting with me during frame 7. Marvin will be my ex-boyfriend that I'll need to be in the photos for frames 1,2,3 and 4. Marvin will also be in frame 5 when I am dancing with him. 

I had to discuss days that would work with their schedules to film. Things were looking a little bit tricky because I am going out of town this weekend and my friends are going out of town the weekend before the due date for this project.

We decided that this Friday was the best time for all of us to film. Luckily I only needed them for two frames and a few photographs. This means I should be able to get everything done to my standards even though we would have had school that morning. This gave me plenty of time to make any corrections before the due date. 

Later however, I found out that Friday did not work because I got last minute family plans sprung on me so I had to move the date yet again. Finally we settled on Tuesday of next week because we have school off and I am praying that this date sticks!

Now that I planned that, I made sure that all my outfits were ready. For the present scenes, I am wearing a white sweater from H&M and pajama pants from Lilly Pulitzer. During the memory scenes I am going to wearing a Lilly Pulitzer dress while I am dancing and jeans and a striped sweater while being with my friend.

That’s A Wrap (Filming Production Blog)

 Dearest reader, Today was the second day of filming. Since today was not a  school day, we started filming earlier. Due to the fact that we are meeting at Alexandra's house, l woke up at 8:30. I live out west, about 40 minutes from the school. Alexandra lives out east about 20 minutes from the school.  Last night when I got home from filming and finished all my homework, I went straight to bed. This meant that on top of my usual morning routine, I had to shower. I hopped in the shower as soon as I woke up and got my day going. After eating breakfast, I did my hair and got in my costume. Almost late, I ran out the door to head to Alexandra’s house. When I arrived, we were waiting on one teammate. Something family related came up and there was a delay. Timelines and Transitions (Editing Production Blog)

 Dearest reader, Today, we continued editing our short film. We met via FaceTime once all members were home from school. There was a bit of back and forth between which editing platform to use. I made a case for ClipChamp mentioning the ability to use many tools for free. I found ClipChamp to be a saving grace on my last project.  Ultimately, the group settled on CapCut. I had made it abundantly clear to my group that my editing skills are subpar. While I made sure to enthusiastically emphasize my willingness to edit the footage should they want me to, I can not promise much skill for the group. It was agreed that the editing work would be split fairly evenly amongst members.
