Planning For My Music Video

 Dearest reader, 

Below are my plans for the production of my music video.

Song: All Too Well (10 Minute Version) By Taylor Swift

Props: 

- Scrapbook of memories 

-Pictures of (fake) ex-boyfriend

-Diary and pens

-Photo board

-Freshman Yearbook

-Candles

-Lamps

Costumes:

-Main outfit #1 (current): White open back sweater, Lilly Pulitzer pajama pants 

-Main outfit #2 (happy memory #1): Lilly Pulitzer dress 

-Main outfit #3 (sad memory #1): Striped sweater and pink shorts

-Main outfit #4 (happy-ish memory #2): Lilly Pulitzer top, Levi jeans

-Main outfit #5 (sad memory #2): Turtleneck sweater, yoga pants

Schedule: 

-October 10th: Ask my friend to be my fake ex-boyfriend for photos and maybe one clip of footage

-October 11-13th: Take photos, shoot possible footage

-October 13th: Based off of footage finalize storyboard

-October 14th: Get the photos printed for the scrapbook

-October 15th: Film scrapbook scene, all current footage and first (happy) memory (handwritten notes)

-October 16th: Film second (sad) memory (last handwritten note vs current date)

-October 17th: Film third (happy-ish) memory (reconciling)

-October 18th: Film final (sad) memory (everything falling apart for good)

-October 19th: Upload and crop footage 

-October 20th: Put footage in order on the timeline 

-October 21-23rd: Out of town

-October 24th: Capture audio and upload it

-October 25th: Create intro to video and fit it into the timeline

-October 26th: Color correction

-October 27th: Transitions between footage 

-October 28th: Film any extra footage needed to fill plot gaps, delete anything going overtime 

-October 29th: Final walkthrough of footage and final edits

-October 30th: Upload footage to make sure exportation quality is good and embed video into blog

Backup plan: 

-I have 3 guy friends I can ask to be my "ex-boyfriend" in case one says no

-If the exportation quality is bad, I will transfer the footage onto another platform to see if I like it better since I left a lot of time to fix mistakes 

Locations: 

-Wherever is best for my fake ex-boyfriend to capture memory footage and take pictures 

-My bedroom

-My kitchen

-My porch

That’s A Wrap (Filming Production Blog)

 Dearest reader, Today was the second day of filming. Since today was not a  school day, we started filming earlier. Due to the fact that we are meeting at Alexandra's house, l woke up at 8:30. I live out west, about 40 minutes from the school. Alexandra lives out east about 20 minutes from the school.  Last night when I got home from filming and finished all my homework, I went straight to bed. This meant that on top of my usual morning routine, I had to shower. I hopped in the shower as soon as I woke up and got my day going. After eating breakfast, I did my hair and got in my costume. Almost late, I ran out the door to head to Alexandra’s house. When I arrived, we were waiting on one teammate. Something family related came up and there was a delay. Timelines and Transitions (Editing Production Blog)

 Dearest reader, Today, we continued editing our short film. We met via FaceTime once all members were home from school. There was a bit of back and forth between which editing platform to use. I made a case for ClipChamp mentioning the ability to use many tools for free. I found ClipChamp to be a saving grace on my last project.  Ultimately, the group settled on CapCut. I had made it abundantly clear to my group that my editing skills are subpar. While I made sure to enthusiastically emphasize my willingness to edit the footage should they want me to, I can not promise much skill for the group. It was agreed that the editing work would be split fairly evenly amongst members. First, we needed to import the clips off of the drive and onto CapCut.  Finding the cropped clips I had worked on yesterday was easy for my teammates.
